SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Teat-Fire. S# 9453. Bbl. 3 1/4". Teat-Fire single action revolver mfg. by Moore's Patent Fire Arms Co. Top of the rnd. tapered bbl. is marked "MOORES PAT. FIRE ARMS CO. BROOKLYN N.Y.", with a diminutive patent marking present beneath the swivel gate on the right, and the S# marked on the underside. Side of cyl. is marked "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY5.1864". Sides of frame feature a single panel of scrollwork on a punch dot background, with light foliate motifs engraved on the trigger spur, and small sunburst pattern motifs engraved on the sides of the recoil shield. Complimentary engraving extends to the edges of the bbl. Cyl. is engraved with a single band at the front and 2-bands at the rear. Brass frame exhibits a silver plated finish, with steel components exhibiting a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. German silver half-moon blade front sight with V-notch rear sight on hammer. All parts are matching via the assembly # "CN53" and include the frame, cyl. base pin, cyl., bbl., bbl. wedge, as well as the grips. CONDITION: brass frame retains large amounts of its silver plated finish, exhibiting areas of tarnishing. Cyl. is very good, showing some scattered spots/patches of flaking that show through to brown patina. Bbl. retains large amounts of its original blue finish, showing patches/areas of flaking and wear that are fading to gray and brown patinas. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light to mild pitting towards the breech, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Cyl. rotates properly, but hammer does not lock in the rearward position. Grips show some scattered superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound.
